Energy Saving Schemes & Support

Eyre and Elliston have several years’ experience and success as an electrical wholesaler and we want to help our customers become more energy efficient where possible. Saving energy is not only better for the environment, but it’s also better for your bank account. This doesn’t mean, however, that you have to sit in the cold and dark because you’re worried about turning the lights or heating on. There are other energy saving schemes that could be equally as effective, many of which that are backed by the government.

Generally, the more energy efficient your electrical appliances, the lower your utility bills will be. When you’re looking to buy new energy efficient appliances, be sure to check their energy rating label. It’s also important to know that when you leave your products on standby you are wasting energy on products that aren’t actually in use. We supply a range of energy efficient products, both on our website and in store, including light and heating products.

LED lighting is becoming more and more popular, in both domestic and commercial environments, because they provide immediate strong light without wasting energy. In addition to their energy efficiency, LED bulbs also last a lot longer and are more durable than other types of lighting. If you would like some more information on the benefits of LED lighting then please head to our “Why Convert to LED?” page.

Another great way to save energy is to install underfloor heating. This allows heat to rise evenly into the entire room rather than just one area, like a standard radiator. Even if you open a window or there’s a draught in the room, your floor will remain nice and warm, which means less wasted heat.

There are several energy saving support structures available and if you would like some more advice on what you can do, please feel free to call us or visit us in store. Our expert staff are always on hand to help as best they can.
