British General 8CGS 1G cord grip spacer used inconjuntion with 13A Fused Connection Units or 20A Switches. Cable is inserted through the aperture in the spacer and connected to the terminals. It is then clamped by the cord grip prior to mounting the accessory to the wall box. The spacers provide greater clearance for installation wiring where shallow mounting boxes are used, an alternative to fitting a deeper box. Surface boxes have multiple knock-outs and earth terminal fitted as standard and separate spacer allows f. Single Gang, One Gang, 1 Gang.
