Commercial Trainee (Entry Level) Carlisle

Ready for your first step into a career? We’re looking for a Commercial Trainee to join our Carlisle branch. This is an entry-level, hands-on role where you’ll learn the day-to-day of electrical wholesaling with structured training, real responsibility, and clear progression for the right person.

You’ll get experience across the whole branch — warehouse, trade counter, deliveries and order processing — building the skills and product knowledge needed to grow into a long-term career.

Who we are:

Established in 1934 and operating from 61 locations throughout the country, servicing a wide spectrum of customer types, we have over 88 years’ experience in the electrical wholesale sector.

The Role:

• Standard office hours of Monday to Friday starting at 08:00am and finishing at 17:00pm
• Workings closely with a large customer base, ensuring orders are completed accurately
• Picking orders from the Warehouse
• Booking in deliveries, allocating customer stock requirements and ensuring accurate stock control
• Assist on the trade counter
• Helping to drive sales and contribute to branch targets
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment 
• Working with the team to gain experience to gain work place progression

The Ideal Person:

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
• A positive, reliable “can do” attitude, and keen to learn
• To be a good communicator
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player
• Confident telephone manner
