Electrical Wholesale – Commercial Trainee (Entry Level)

Ready for your first step into a career? We’re looking for a Commercial Trainee to join our Leeds branch. This is an entry-level, hands-on role where you’ll learn the day-to-day of electrical wholesaling with structured training, real responsibility, and clear progression for the right person.

This vacancy can be offered as an apprenticeship for eligible candidates, supported through the Electrical Distributors’ Association (EDA) apprenticeship route.

Who we are:

Established in 1934, Eyre & Elliston operates from 61 locations across the UK, supplying a wide range of customers and sectors within the electrical wholesale industry.

The Role:

You’ll get experience across the whole branch — warehouse, trade counter, deliveries and order processing — building the skills and product knowledge needed to grow into a long-term career.

• Workings closely with a large customer base, ensuring orders are completed accurately
• Picking orders from the Warehouse
• Booking in deliveries, allocating customer stock requirements and ensuring accurate stock control
• Assist on the trade counter
• Helping to drive sales and contribute to branch targets
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment 
• Working with the team to gain experience to gain work place progression

The Ideal Person:

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
• A positive, reliable “can do” attitude, and keen to learn
• To be a good communicator
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player
• Confident telephone manner

Package:

• A tailored training package utilising both our experienced team members and external trainer, Electrical Distributors' Association (EDA).
• Standard office hours of Monday to Friday starting at 08:00am and finishing at 17:00pm
• Generous 25 day holiday entitlement + bank holidays
• No weekend hours normally required
• Permanent full-time position
