Eyre & Elliston Ltd has strengthened its commitment to sustainability and operational excellence by partnering with Sustainable Energy First and joining its Sustainable Energy Consortium (SEC).
The move supports Eyre & Elliston’s ongoing focus on reducing energy costs, improving efficiency and lowering carbon emissions across its nationwide portfolio of trade counters, warehouses and offices. By joining the SEC, the business gains access to specialist expertise in energy procurement, management and sustainability strategy – enabling a smarter, more responsible approach to energy use. This includes ensuring that the energy sourced through the partnership is derived from fully traceable renewable sources.
“Our partnership with the Sustainable Energy Consortium represents an important step in our sustainability journey,” said David Monteith for Eyre & Elliston Ltd. “It allows us to actively manage our energy consumption, control costs and reduce our environmental impact, while continuing to operate efficiently across our estate.”
As part of the collaboration, Eyre & Elliston Ltd also completed the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS), a mandatory energy assessment programme designed to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and cut carbon emissions. The assessment delivered valuable insight into how energy is consumed across the business and highlighted practical, cost-effective measures to support long-term sustainability improvements.
Through its work with Sustainable Energy First and the SEC, Eyre & Elliston Ltd is:
• Strengthening its energy procurement strategy
• Identifying and implementing energy-saving initiatives
• Reducing overall energy consumption and carbon emissions
• Embedding sustainability and corporate responsibility into its operations
• Transitioning to renewable energy sources as part of its long-term net‑zero approach
The partnership reflects Eyre & Elliston’s wider commitment to leading by example within the sector. Alongside its own sustainability initiatives, the company also delivers specialist lighting design services, providing project solutions that reduce energy costs, improve lifetime value and enhance lighting performance through the supply of energy‑efficient products from the industry’s leading manufacturers.
By taking a proactive, strategic approach to energy and sustainability, Eyre & Elliston Ltd continues to position itself as a forward‑thinking, responsible business focused on delivering long‑term value for customers and the environment.
