Specifications
The British General 8CGS 1G cord grip spacer is designed to be used in conjunction with 13A Fused Connection Units or 20A Switches. The cable is inserted through the aperture in the spacer and connected to the terminals. It is then clawed by the cord grip before mounting the accessory to the wall box. These spacers provide greater clearance for installation wiring in cases where shallow mounting boxes are used, offering an alternative to fitting a deeper box. Surface boxes come with multiple knock-outs and an earth terminal as standard. A separate spacer allows for Single Gang, One Gang, or 1 Gang configurations.
