These cable ties feature ratcheting mechanisms in the width, length, and head area for secure locking during bundling. Nylon offers a balance of properties including strength, stiffness, high service temperature, and toughness. Nylon cable ties are highly resistant to impact, have low friction, and excellent abrasion resistance. They are resistant to fuels, lubricants, and most chemicals, but vulnerable to phenols, strong acids, and oxidizing agents. General-purpose nylon is suitable for various applications at temperatures up to 85°C. Nylon 6/6, the grade commonly used for cable tie production, meets UL 94V-2 flammability ratings with a working temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
